They will be using the Home School Legal Defense Association's debate topics for 1998-99 :"Resolved that the United States should substantially change the rules governing federal campaign finances." Discover art and The Speed with your favorite preschooler. This unique six week child/adult class features art-making activities paired within-gallery experiences. Activities will include looking at and talking about art themes such as clothing, homes, food, and families. Class size is limited to eight child/adult pairs. The class is available on either Wednesday or Friday morning 9:30am to 11am. Classes begins on Wednesday October 7 or Friday October 9. Cost is $60 for museum members or $70 for non-members. Please call 634-2714 to reserve your spot. The Art Learning Center is a brand new hands-on interactive gallery for children and adults. The Art Learning Center has over 30 activities that relate to the museums collection. Highlights of the gallery include the Electronic Art Room, with ten computers, and Planet Preschool, with activities for children 5 and under. Admission is free with a museum family membership or $3.50 per person. Children 2 years and under are admitted free. For a docent tour of the museum collection please call 634-2725.
